Once you have selected the wordpress product you want, and have gone through the checkout process, we will contact you to ask you some information about your wordpress installation. Generally we ask you for your FTP account details. This includes:

• FTP Hostname
• FTP Username
• FTP Password
• folder location of where the blog is installed

If you don’t have hosting, we can advice you on how to go about organising this. If you do already have web hosting, but you are not sure of these details, then you should contact your webhost.

Settings for a new blog

If we are setting up a new blog, along with your FTP details, we will also require some details about how we can connect to your database.

• MySQL Database name
• MySQL username
• MySQL Database password
• MySQL server location (could be localhost, but sometimes it’s an external database server).

Again if you are not sure about these details you should contact you hosting companies support centre.

Having these details ready will speed up the process of starting your wordpress blog installation.
